Bouche : Bonne attaque, texture agréable longueur moyenne.

Dec 2010 Antonio Galloni 89 Drink: 2010 - 2014 $30 (51)
The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Special offers up gorgeous varietal Chardonnay fruit, with excellent focus and vinosity. Pretty floral notes add complexity on the clean, polished finish. This is a tasty entry-level wine from Milan. The Grand Cru Special is made from vineyards in Oger. This release is equal parts 2007 and 2006 vintages, with 6 grams of dosage. This is L-02, disgorged July, 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2014.
It’s great to see Milan bounce back so quickly after last year’s disappointing wines. The estate’s issues may have originated at the bottling line since the new disgorgements of the flagship 2004 Symphorine and 2004 Terres de Noel are much cleaner than last year’s releases of the same wines. Readers need to be sure they are buying the current releases and not bottles from last year that might still be out in the market.
