----------------------------------------
The 2001 Ca’ Marcanda is the major wine of the estate and is clearly more intense and concentrated, more characterized in its expression of cassis, plums, and sweet herbs, and endowed with both a solid structure and a ripe, vanilla-laced close. The 2000 version of the wine seemed a bit richer and rounder, but additional bottle time may well close the gap. Drink: 2006-2018.
Wine Advocate- Daniel Thomases, Rated - 90/100
millésime 2000 = 91WineSpectator, 93Parker
----------------------------------------
Falesco, Montiano, Lazio, 2001
Pas goûté. Cépage=100% Merlot.
----------------------------------------
Spécial 25%. The 2001 Montiano, 100% Merlot, offers the luxuriously sweet and expansive nose which has always characterized the wine. Full of plum, raspberry, and dark chocolate scents, along with a dense, deep, and velvety palate, it is full and round, with the super-polished tannins which make it one of Italy’s touchstone Merlot bottlings. Drink: 2005-2018.
Wine Advocate- Daniel Thomases, Rated - 93/100
----------------------------------------
Terra Bianca, Campaccio, Toscana, 2000
Goûté au 1997, riserva 1997, 1999 (tous très bien). Cépages = 70% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon.
----------------------------------------
Very pretty blackberry, mahogany and cedar character. Full-bodied, with round tannins and a lovely, rich aftertaste. Always excellent. A sure bet for the money.
WineSpectator, rated - 90/100
Rubis-grenat, bonne saturation.

- Alte d'Altesi, Toscana, 2000
- Ca' Marcanda, Magari, Toscana, 2001
- Falesco, Montiano, Lazio, 2001
- Ornellaia, Le Serre Nuove, Bolgheri, 2001
- Tenuta di Capezzana, Ghiaie Della Furba, Toscana, 2000
- Terrabianca, Campaccio, Toscana, 2000
- Carpineto, Farnito Cabernet-sauvignon, Toscana, 1995
